Tips on Travelling Light and Dressing Well

Whether you’re a globe-trotting back-packer or going away for a short business trip, travelling can be quite challenging. Having to deal with flying, the ensuing jet lag, and hauling your bags around. This is why, most women often have no time to spare to try and look fashionable between all that. However, when you know what to do, it doesn’t take much effort to looks stylish and good while on the road. Anyone can pull off the chic look while travelling. There is even no need to pack a lot or spend a lot to do it. Below are some tips on how to travel light while looking effortlessly good too.

Packing clothes in coordinating colours is always a good first step. This allows you to mix and match the pieces easily, allowing you to don multiple looks for different days and occasions without having the need to pack a load. If you’re heading somewhere that is more urbane, colours like navy, black, charcoal, and navy would look good. When heading for the beach or any outdoor setting, white, khaki, off-white, and bright hues work like a charm. Pack in a nice pair of pants, a pair of jeans, a comfortable t-shirt, and a blazer and you’re good to go.

You do not really need to bring several pairs of shoes when going on a trip two. More than three pairs is just way too impractical. Consider bringing with you a pair of comfortable shoes you can wear during the daytime, exercise sneakers, low sandals or heeled ones as well as boots are all you need. You want to pack light and select a few pairs that you know will serve multiple purposes to minimise your baggage.

Flying in exercise wear might not be a bad idea too. Exercise clothes have become quite fashionable these days and may be a good clothing choice especially for long-haul journeys. The fact that they are comfortable to wear make them ideal. They are easy to fold and fit into just about any bag too. If this is the look that you want to go for when heading to the airport, then it is best to go for compression leggings and pair it with a cotton top with long sleeves.

Your accessories can change the way your outfit will look. Some costume jewellery might be useful to throw in with the rest of your luggage. For instance, oversized earrings and a statement ring can be useful especially if there might be special occasions that you will be taking part in during the trip. For your makeup, have it packed in a pouch that can double as an evening bag.

Do not forget to bring along a dressy outfit too. This would be most handy if you expect to attend an event or a formal evening during the trip. You wouldn’t want to have to bring along heavy full suits or bulky dresses. They will only take up so much space. Go for a slip dress instead. Paired with high heels and some statement earring and you are all set. Ideally, when packing, always consider choosing womenswear that you know you will be able to earn more than once. See to it too that they will be packed easily too and you’re good to go.
