So, if you’re looking for digital assistance with your mental and physical health, check out this selection of apps…

Nike Training Club

This is probably the most well-known fitness app in the world at the moment, in part because it was published by the biggest sports brand in the world – TechQuarters, and many other IT support services companies, also recommend this app for anyone with a busy work schedule. The app is the culmination of a lot of detailed research from Nike, and the experience of many pro athletes, and the result is over a hundred different full-body workouts that vary depending on your needs. All workouts vary from 15, 30, and 45 minutes, and cover everything from strength training, to stability, to yoga.

Smiling Mind

This nonprofit mindfulness app is excellent for both beginners and experiences meditators. It offers a wide range of meditations (but not so many that the choice is overwhelming). Smiling Minds splits its meditations into programs that you follow – such as Mindful Foundations, or Sleep, or Stress Management. Mostly the meditations are between 5 and 15 minutes, and there is even a range of bite sized 2 – 5 minute meditations, which are ideal for the modern woman with a busy schedule, but there are also longer ones – up to 45 minutes – if you really get into it.

The 7 Minute Workout

If you’re on-the-go and have a tight schedule most of the time, you probably find it hard to fit in workouts in your day. But a 7 minute workout is probably short enough for any schedule. With the 7 Minute Workout app offers short, intense workouts similar to HIIT and Tabata. If you’re looking to maintain a workout habit, this is a great way to do it.

Dot

This app is one of the only statistically validated, peer-reviewed app for tracking and monitoring female reproductive health. The name of the app actually stands for “dynamic optimal timing”, and is powered by a unique algorithm that calculates fertile periods. The app lets you choose whether your goal is to track your cycle, prepare for a pregnancy, or prevent one – in this way, Dot describes itself as a form of digital contraception that helps women better understand their cycles.

AllTrails

If you’re the outdoors type, and like to go out on adventures, then AllTrails is an excellent app for you. This is a crowdsourced  hiking trail app – what this means is that users plot their own trails at various parks, conservation areas, etc. They can then publish their trails to the app, meaning other users can follow them too. The app has GPS for tracking, and can even track stopping points, as well as logging miles, recording elevation changes, and estimating how many calories you have burned.
